Colorado provençal
In Roussillon, a small village in Luberon, you find the largest ocher deposit in the world. The different shades that are found today, red, yellow and ocher, are due to Goethite, known since prehistoric times and used as a pigment, in the Lascaux cave. These natural pigments were rediscovered, which today are coming back in force in activities related to painting, decoration, pottery or even building. The ocher path allows you to discover these magical landscapes of Provencal colorado.

La TRUFFE treasure of Luberon
The soil of the Luberon, thanks to the implantation of green oak and white oak, is favorable for truffles. It is one of the French terroirs most renowned for the quality and quantity of its so-called “tuber melanosporum mushrooms”. Its mainly calcareous soils have allowed the establishment of many truffle oaks allowing the harvest of the famous black diamond.

Visit the Luberon
The Luberon is a low mountain range stretching from east to west between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the department of Vaucluse.
The massif, including the Grand and Petit Luberon mountains, is over 60 kilometers long and about 5 kilometers wide, and its highest point is the Mourre Nègre, rounded summit which rises to 1,125 meters altitude, in the Grand Luberon. Vaucluse includes several rivers and springs, the only body of water is the Etang de la Bonde.
The climate of the Luberon is Mediterranean, its relief gives it a diversity of ecosystems and brings it a variety, both in the fauna and in the flora. The massif is located in the heart of the Luberon regional natural park. It has become an emblematic place in Haute Provence, renowned beyond the borders of France.
